The little brother to the TT01 boasts aerodynamic tubing with a carbon core. The deliberate use of carbon in the streamlined seat tube, the integrated seat post, and the rear triangle increases the ride comfort. The use of aluminum for the down tube, top tube and head tube as well as for the chain stays completes the combination of these two materials again in a very convincing manner. The distance between the rear wheel and seat tube can be adjusted via the extended dropout according to the requirements of the race course. Its adjustable saddle position makes our supersonic frame equally suited for tri-athletes who prefer a steeper seat tube angle of up to 76°.
available in frameset only.
Here are quick summaries of the key technologies for the TT02:
- Carbon fibers make extremely light and rigid components. There is good reason why in Formula 1 racing, entire car bodies are made of this wonder material.
- The entire seat tube of the Blade Speed Frame has been designed as a wing profile. Together with the specially developed seat post they form a continuous wing for minimum air resistance.
- Aerodynamically effective: the specially developed seat tube with a wing-shaped cross-section improves air resistance at a decisive point.
Frame - BSF triple butted alloy frame with airfoil carbon seat tube and carbon seat stays
- - BSF aluminum frames with Airfoil Carbon seat tube (BSF = Blade Speed Frame)
- The entire seat tube is manufactured from carbon. Together with the specially designed seat post, the seat tube and post ensemble resembles one single aerodynamic wing allowing for minimal air resistance.
- - Triple-butted Aluminum 7005 tubing
- - Adjustable dropouts (track bike style) make it possible to adjust for different positions
- - Set up "short" - shorter wheel base = more agile handling (wheel base = distance to front hub > to rear hub)
- - Set up "long" - longer wheel base = calmer handling (max range of adjustment is 10 mm)
- - internal routing for shifting cable
- - front/derailleur assembly = braze-on type (torque = 5Nm)
- - frame weight = 1800 gr (size L/excluding fork)
- - 4x frame sizes (S / M / L / XL)
Fork - Easton EC90 Aero-SL carbon steerer tube
- - Easton EC-90 Aero SL Carbon-CNT fork
- - aluminum drop outs and carbon fork crown
- - 1-1/8“ carbon steerer tube (300 mm)
- - fork rake = 43 mm
- - fork weight = 375gr
Warning - the Time Machine TT02 frame is delivered with an EC-90 Aero SL fork and a FSA head set. Contained in the shipment is a special "Excenter-mechanism" that must be pressed into the carbon head tube. The final adjustment of the headset is completed via the Excenter-mechanism and the connecting bolt. Never use a traditional star nut intended for aluminum steering tube combination only!
