Team Machine SLR01

The new teammachine SLR01 provides the perfect balance between handling comfort, rigidity, safety — and it’s lightweight. This legendary frame provides uncompromising power transmission and will captivate you with its outstanding handling characteristics.  Owing to the combination of specifically optimized carbon tubing with high-quality aluminum in the bottom bracket area, the Cross Lock Skeletons area, and the headset, we succeed in providing the highest rigidity values. This is a bike built for very high speeds.

The Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC) at the rear triangle, seat post and fork gives the SLR01 the required vertical flexibility, making for the most comfortable cycling experience you’ve ever had. The rigid bottom bracket ensures direct transmission of force from the pedal to the road for uncompromising propulsion. The rigid frontend and the muscular fork allow the bike to be handled precisely. Rigidity and low vibration give you accurate control over deceleration and ensure your safety when riding in any situation.

Every BMC bike has a common denominator: the technologies that lie behind our striking but technically logical frames.

Here are quick summaries of the key technologies for the SLR01:

  • Throughout, we avoid using the traditional carbon optic. Using only carefully aligned unidirectional fibres makes for even more accurately defined rigidity distribution.
  • The Skeleton Crosslock Concept allows much more rigid joints, shorter tubes and longer, and therefore more stable welded joints because of the slanted cutting surfaces.
Available in frameset only.

Frame - lightest iSC carbon frame ever built featuring tuned compliance concept - system integration with angle lock clamping system and new Teammachine SLR01 carbon TCC seat post

  • - unidirectional carbon fiber tubing bonded using the 3D forged and CNC machined on aluminum butting to be joined together
  • - bottom bracket and interior cup made entirely from aluminum for optimal rigidity
  • - internal shifting cable guide
  • - SCC seat post locking system (SCC = Skeleton Crosslock Concept)
  • - front/derailleur assembly = clamp type (Torque = 5Nm)
  • - frame weight = 1400gr (size 55cm/without fork)
  • - drop-outs made from aluminum, attached with 1x M6 bolt
  • - 8x frame sizes (47 / 49 / 51 / 53 / 55 / 57 / 59 / 61cm)

Fork - superior stiffness and TCC for optimized riding performance

  • - Easton EC-90 SL carbon CNT fork
  • - carbon fork, carbon drop outs and carbon fork crown. (45mm)
  • - 1-1/8“ carbon steering tube (300mm)
  • - fork rake = 43mm
  • - fork weight = 350gr

Attention - frame will be delivered with the EC-90 SLX fork and FSA head set. Contained in the shipment is a special “Excenter-mechanism” that must be pressed into the carbon head tube. The final adjustment of the headset is completed via the Excenter-mechanism and the connecting bolt. Never use a traditional star nut which is intended for aluminum steering tube combination only!

Seat post - Easton EC70 carbon CNT seat post

  • - seat post length = 350mm
  • - diameter = 31.60mm
  • - seat post set back = 10mm (Offset)
  • - weight = 215gr
  • - upper/lower seat clamps made from aluminum. The use of carbon component saddles (9mm carbon rails) is possible
  • Assembly/Maintenance - BMC recommends special carbon assembly paste when inserting full carbon seat posts into carbon frame sets. These pastes increase friction and reduce corrosion (Tacx Dynamic Carbon Assembly Paste or similar products). Be sure to use a torque key and stay within torque tolerances as provided by the manufacturer. Alternately tighten both screws carefully using torque key. Be sure never to exceed 4-5 NM of torque for each of the screws.
