With the newly developed Roadracer SL01, BMC is addressing the preferences of design and detailed oriented clients who don’t want to forego a certain amount of comfort during the ride. Visually, the SL01 stands out in comparison with all competition in its price class and will ultimately raise the bar for all products in this bicycle segment since it benefits from the design and technological advancements offered by the racemaster SLX01.

iSC integrated Skeleton Concept - the SL01’s iSC resembles the Racemaster’s Bonded Skeleton Concept, except that the Roadracer’s aluminum tubes are welded, not bonded. This solution provides for a perfect power transmission and distribution of forces at the juncture of the top tube and the heavily loaded seat tube. Consequently the efficiency of any forward movement is increased while providing greater rigidity and a weight reduction of the frame at the same time.
BMC Straightedge-Carbon Fork - as with the SLX01, the SL01 comes equipped with a Straightedge 048 carbon fork that BMC developed to be suitably functional, technically advanced and attractively designed to fit the requirements of the progressive frame. The result is a responsive frame, that thanks to the carbon CNT seat stays and the carbon fork is still very comfortable to ride.
Carbon-CNT-Wishbone - the seat stays of the SL01 are made from carbon. Together with the carbon fork we can use the absorbing properties of the carbon material to reduce road vibrations and direct shocks to the front and rear wheel.
Streampost 73.5 seat post - we’re proud that the Streampost 73.5 represents the best in Swiss precision and innovation technology. With its tear-drop shape, the integrated seat post seamlessly flows along the seat tube’s airfoil profile and is thus always perfectly aerodynamically aligned. At the same time it can be precisely adjusted in height with a large degree of variation using the Angle lock tightening system.
Integrated cable routing - the integrated cable routing guarantees efficient and effortless shifting and breaking performance and rounds off the attractive appearance of the frame.
Frame - iSC hydroformed triple butted alloy frame with carbon seat stays for optimal vibration dampening
- system integration with angle lock clamping system and stream post 73.5 carbon seat post
- internal shifter and brake cable routing
- Hydroformed triple butted 7005 Aluminum tubing
- front/derailleur assembly = braze-on type (Torque = 5Nm)
- frame weight = 1400gr (size Large / without fork)
- aluminum drop outs, fastened with 2x M3 bolts
- 5x frame sizes (XS / S / M / L / XL)
Fork - BMC straightedge 048 SL TP carbon with carbon steerer tube
- BMC “Straightedge 048” carbon-aluminum fork
- carbon fork & aluminum drop outs and fork crown (50mm)
- 1-1/8“ aluminum steering tube
- fork rake = 43mm
- fork weight = 560gr
NOTE - frame sets are delivered with a 25mm nut for the front brake. It is imperative to use this nut when assembling the brakes.
Seat post Streampost 73.5 - Integrated carbon seat post with an angle lock fastening system
- seat post length = 350mm
- seat post set back = 20mm (Offset)
- weight = 220gr
- upper/Lower seat clamps made from aluminum. the use of carbon component saddles (9mm carbon rails) is possible. Basic adjustments take place in very few steps (reference Streampost 73,5 assembly instruction).
Assembly/Maintenance - the all new Streampost 73.5 features and utilizes high precision manufacturing. In order to have smooth Seat height adjustment at any time, we do not recommend of using any kind of grease or carbon assembly paste - this includes Tacx or similar products available in the market.
Insert the Streampost DRY. The Excenter mechanism (N°3), which makes possible the fastening of the seat post, must have enough grease applied (Copper or graphite grease). During maintenance work the Excenter mechanism can be simply dismantled and greased.
